And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over
all demons and to cure diseases
and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal. |
And he said to them, "Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics. |
And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them." |
And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.   Our gospel for today teaches us to trust God completely. In our times today wherein we encounter a lot of problems in our life, it is sometimes really hard to put everything to God. The gospel reminds us that trusting God is very much important. This is want God wants His disciplines to learn that is why in the Gospel he mentioned that they would take nothing on their journey, for God will always be with them and will provide them with everything that they need. In our lives also, even though we are in a struggle with the problem that comes into our lives. God reminds us to trust Him. Even though how big your problem is right now, good sees your sacrifices and all you efforts and those will be rewarded in the right time. Just do not lose hope and don’t let go with your trust in God. |
